"The goal for this design was to have something that spread awareness of Orange Shirt Day and symbolizes love, warmth healing and protection. Personally, I felt as though these are things our people need. What the children of residential schools needed and deserved. I tried showcase these meanings through the illustrations of the children being embraced by the mother, and the sun that encapsulates them."
